Salt Spring Island

Salt Spring Island is the most vibrant and populated of the Southern Gulf Islands. An exciting and a fun place for getaway, although not as quiet as the other Gulf Islands. Venturing beyond Ganges, the winding island roads offer not only wineries, but also two cideries, a forest brewery. You’ll run across many farm stands, there’s a lavender farms, as well as a goat cheese farm and cafe. There’s a wide choice of hikes around the coast or up the small mountains. Whimsy abounds and you’ll find yourself going past fairy doors along your way.
