Capturing the essence of the Islands, this delightfully, romantic two bedroom cottage is nestled between orchards and farmland in historic Port Washington.

The cottage is named in memory of my grandmother, Emily Logan. Emily came to Pender from London, England in 1911 at the urgings of my great-grandfather, Mr. John McKinnon, one of Pender’s original settlers. On her arrival, she was quite "horrified" at how primitive the Island was compared to London. Although her first impressions of Pender were far from enthusiastic, Emily came to love the Island and remained until her death in 1962.

The sun-drenched dining area of this charming cottage, with its roots in Pender Island’s past, will delight your senses and rejuvenate your spirit!

The open floor plan was designed to let the "outside in" while, at the same time, retaining a sense of privacy.

Sit back and "enjoy the traffic"! The view from the cottage is ever-changing. The large BC Ferries sail past throughout the day and evening. At night, they look like twinkling, floating Christmas trees. Or you might look up to see a bright and colorful freighter, a fish boat, a yacht, a kayak or a sailboat.
